Infant care · Ages 6-24 months

Infant daycare in Maple Valley for babies 6 to 24 months.

The first daycare is a big decision. Joy Nest keeps the group small, the day predictable, and the communication steady — so you know how your baby slept, ate, and spent the day.

What infant days look like here

Babies do not follow a schedule so much as a rhythm. At Joy Nest the rhythm is simple: eat, play, rest, repeat. There is floor time and tummy time, songs and board books, and plenty of quiet talking — the ordinary stuff that builds language long before a child says a word.

Because the group is small, a baby who needs to be held gets held. That sounds obvious. In a large infant room it is often the first thing that gets lost.

Rest happens on your baby's own pattern, in a quiet room close to the caregiver.

Eating and sleeping

Meals and snacks are cooked fresh in the home. For babies on bottles or starting solids, we follow what you send and what your pediatrician has advised — tell us the plan at enrollment and we will keep to it.

Rest happens on your baby's own pattern rather than a forced group nap. You will know how the day went, because we talk at pickup.

Staying in touch

You should never have to wonder. Ask questions any time, and expect a straight answer. If something changes during the day — a skipped nap, a new tooth, a fussy afternoon — you will hear about it before you ask.

Why a home instead of a center

A home setting means fewer transitions, fewer rooms, and the same caregiver all day. For an infant, that consistency is worth a great deal: the person who catches them at drop-off is the person who hands them back.

Joy Nest is a Washington State licensed family child care, License #PL-86705, caring for children from 6 months to 6 years in Maple Valley.

Infant care is $1,200 per calendar month, with meals included. Washington's average infant center price is about $1,779 per month, so a small home setting can cost meaningfully less. See the Maple Valley cost comparison.
